Have you made some money on Paidwork, but don't want to lose it all on useless expenses? If you're having trouble with organizing your personal budget, budget apps are a good solution. What is the best budget app? What should you choose? How much do they cost? What to choose, Mint, Spendee or PocketGuard?

Mint

Let's start with the definite leader in the budget apps market. Mint has a ton of capabilities, such as scanning receipts, controlling spending and multi-store loyalty programs. Mint has received more than one million reviews in the App store and google play, which is a proof of its huge popularity.

Mint is the best budget app for people who want a simple and inexpensive tool to keep their personal budget.

Advantages:

  • free version is absolutely sufficient,
  • scanning of receipts,
  • discounts.

Disadvantages:

  • no PC version,
  • ads.

Apps - YNAB

YNAB is an application that offers similar features to Mint, but includes courses. It is primarily geared toward fighting debt. Therefore, it can be said that YNAB is the best budget app for people who are struggling with loans, although it should be noted that it is quite expensive.

Advantages:

  • helps with financial education,
  • reputable,
  • lots of options.

Disadvantages:

  • expensive,
  • less intuitive than Mint (in our opinion).

Goodbudget

Goodbudget is basically a hybrid of the previous two apps. It allows you to deal with debt by offering dedicated metrics, and looks more like Mint. It also has unique features, for example, it allows you to synchronize and combine budgets, which can be useful if you share a household with your partner. There is a free and plus version, which differ in the number of devices, accounts and envelopes.

Advantages:

  • free version,
  • convenient interface,
  • debt repayment tools.

Disadvantages:

  • fewer features than in Mint and Ynab,
  • limitations in the free version.

Spendee

This app is probably the best budgeting app of all. It is simply great! It has a computer version, offers a newsletter with tons of useful tips, shared wallets, dedicated to couples and families, integration with bank accounts, customization and allerts. As biased as it may sound, spendee leaves far behind both Mint and Ynab or Goodbudget. And nobody is paying us for these words.

Advantages:

  • massive amount of articles about finance,
  • very powerful, easy-to-use interface,
  • integration with banks, various currencies,
  • low price.

Disadvantages:

  • to unlock many features, you have to buy the most expensive subscription ($22.99 per year),
  • Spendee may seem more difficult to use than Mint.

thanks to the application your budget will be high

PocketGuard

This app is a bit different from all of the others. It doesn't advertise with information about its many features, but it does tempt with its simplicity. PocketGuard is a bit like the rule of 50/30/20- simple. It will be the best budget app for those who want an effective and simple tool, although there are many functions indeed.

Mint is the best budget app for people who want a simple and inexpensive tool to keep their personal budget.

Advantages:

  • minimalist design,
  • fairly cheap extensions,
  • lots of integration with banks.

Disadvantages:

  • some users complain about bugs,
  • hard to find some features.

As you can see, there are many budget apps. Each of them is good, as we have chosen some of the most popular, but in each you can find strengths and weaknesses. It is pointless to say that Mint or Spendy is the best budget app, as everyone should choose the one that fits their needs best.
